MANJIT BHAMBRA

Manjit Bhambra is one of those people who has more than one facet to their personalities. He has been a performer and a Bhangra dancer for decades and had founded a traditional Punjabi folk dance group Asli Baharan Punjab Diyan (ABPD) in 1994. Under Manjit’s Leadership, ABPD has performed at various platforms ranging from international concerts & corporate event to TV Shows and Hollywood/Bollywood Film productions, including Mohabbatein, Kabhie Khusi Gham, Bend it Like Beckham, Ram ji London Wale, Pop Goes to Bhnagra, Bride & Prejudice, Provoked, Goal, Salaam – e – ishq, Apna Boli Apna Desh, Love Aaaj Kal, London Dreams and many more.

Manjit Bhambra is also an acting enthusiast and has appeared in several movies such as ‘Fantastic Beasts’. Within Punjabi community Manjit has established himself as an entrepreneur and runs his two success businesses of property and accountancy side by side. Manjit Bhambra is a dedicated person who strives to give back to his community by sharing his, skills, knowledge and expertise.

KULWINDER PAUL

By profession he is a master baker and a great foodie. Paul is very passionate about music, television and other artforms, and is always keen on showcasing the stories and the matters of community. Paul has been a part and a supporter of Southall TV from the beginning and gives Southall TV a privilege by being Executive Producer.

As a master baker under his company Kool Cakes Kulwinder Pal has made significant achievements such as collaboration with Procter and Gamble, Make A Wish Foundation and the Guinness World Records to create the world’s largest structure cake. He made a 40″x40″ cake that ran 60″ tall for the Celebrity Big Brother show, he has also designed and made cakes for events at The Houses of Parliament and for many TV shows, magazines and celebrity events. Kulwinder Paul had the privilege of making cakes for the Diamond Jubilee in 2012 and the Platinum Jubilee in 2022 which were both delivered to Buckingham Palace for Her Majesty Late Queen Elizabeth’s pleasure. His company Kool Cakes was the only South Asian business to deliver a cake to Buckingham Palace for both Jubilee celebrations. Along with preparing a cake for Her Majesty Late Queen Elizabeth’s the Platinum Jubilee celebration in 2022, Kulwinder Paul had also organised a live musical event in Southall, which was attended by attended by local councillors, MPs, Mayors of Ealing and Hounslow. The event was also live streamed and watched by the representatives of Buckingham Palace.

Kulwinder Paul is well-known for his eagerness to give back to his community and for his undying support for all kinds of projects may that be of an artistic, sporty nature or just simply a charitable one to help others.

SUKHVIR SODHI

Sukhvir Sodhi is a seasoned TV/Radio presenter who has established himself as a known figure in the Punjabi community in UK. Before stepping into the world of presenting, Sukhvir was known for his Bhangra dancing and teaching under the title of “Baharan Punjab Diyan.” He has performed all over the world and has appeared in many British and Bollywood blockbusters as a Bhangra Dancer.

Sukhvir has presented several Punjabi talk shows on various TV and Radio channels. With co-host Rowdy Farooqi, Sukhvir Sodhi presented a live show “Dil Diyan Gallan” on Southall Tv every Thursday. His latest show on Southall TV was called “Jee Ayan Nu”, which he had taken to Dhoom Radio an online radio channel headed by one of the most famous British Asian radio personality Sarita Sabharwal.

Along side being a presenter and a Bhangra dancer, Sukhvir Sodhi is also an established Punjabi poet and song writer who has written songs for renowned Punjabi singer like Balwinder Safri, Aman Raiar, Sardool Skander, Ranjeet Mani, Nooran Lal, Johal Premi and Sonawalia. Sukhvir’s first book of Punjabi songs ‘Sarlekh’ was released in 2023 by Sahibdeep Publication.

Sukhvir Sodhi is a well-known personality in British Punjabi community and not just for his artistic background but also as a business personality who has been an active part of West London business community for a long time.

ROWDY FAROOQI

Rowdy Farooqi is a Music, TV and Film producer with over 30 years of experience in the industry.

Even though music is at the heart of Rowdy’s artistic self but he prefers to keep his choices wide open and in 2008 he founded a production company in UK, called ROWDY PRODUCTIONS in order to explore the depths of his passion for music, motion graphics, sound design and filmmaking.

Since 2012 Rowdy have been regularly involved with Television both broadcast TV and online. Initially working as a volunteer with a religious community channel SANGAT TV producing talk shows, live music programmes and adverts.

In 2013 Rowdy founded an online TV channel SOUTHALL TV with an established Punjabi lyricist and presenter Sukhvir Sodhi and entrepreneur Kulwinder Paul. Southall TV was a community-based channel and was more of a passion project and for that he created and collaborated in many projects of many varieties from talk shows to short films, working as a producer, director and also a presenter all the way up to 2020 and sometimes still do but not on a regular basis.

In 2020 Rowdy teamed up with a legendary UK radio presenter Sarita Sabharwal and co-founded an online radio ‘Dhoom Radio’ where he worked as a programme director, trainer and presenter.

In 2022 Rowdy has produced and released an EP called ‘Rehn De’ comprised of 4 songs written by Sukhvir Sodhi and sung by Bollywood veteran Mangal Singh, Ameer Shaukat Ali and Rza Heer. Kulwinder Paul was the executive producer of the project.

Since 2020 Rowdy has been working as writer/director and has created several short films including 2023 release WHITE SHADOW produced by Earthwalker Films, and has been selected as finalist for Gold Remi Award at 56th WorldFest – Huston International Film Festival.
